Alterra Mountain CompanyFor today’s news, I am happy to announce that we are implementing Buyer’s Toolbox AP for Merchandise Planning and Open To Buy at Alterra Mountain Company. Alterra is a premier snow and year-round hospitality operation, running such iconic properties as Stratton, Sugarbush, Mammoth Mountain, Tremblant, Palisades Tahoe and a dozen more to boot. If you are into winter mountain sports, you will probably end up skiing (and shopping!) at an Alterra mountain.

Planning a Hospitality retailer is inherently more challenging than planning “the usual” retain chain or ecomm. Not only do you have multiple channels, a highly seasonal product assortment and a ton of vendors to worry about, but every property is unique, requiring detailed location planning married to both centralized and local Open To Buy.
